Will I Be Charged Import Tariffs on My U.S Order?Updated 8 days ago
Are there new tariffs I should know about?
Yes. Starting August 29, 2025, all shipments to the United States must go through customs and will be subject to import duties, regardless of the order value. This change comes from the removal of the U.S. “duty-free” allowance for small parcels.
What happened to the $800 ‘de minimis’ rule?
Previously, orders under US$800 could be imported without duties. That exemption has now been removed, meaning every order will be processed through customs.
How are tariffs and fees applied?
To keep things simple, we’ll collect all U.S. import duties and customs fees during checkout, along with shipping costs. Orders will be shipped Delivered Duties Paid (DDP), so everything is prepaid. You normally won’t be asked to pay anything when your package arrives.
In rare cases, U.S. Customs may still apply additional charges, but this should be unusual.
Do I need to do anything when my package is delivered?
Not usually. However, U.S. Customs may occasionally request additional information or steps. If that happens, we’ll guide you through the process quickly and clearly.
Should I worry about these changes?
We understand this update may feel inconvenient, but we’re committed to making the process as seamless as possible while keeping costs reasonable. We’ll share updates with customers as new details from U.S. Customs become available.
Are duties refundable if I return an order?
Unfortunately, U.S. import duties, customs fees, and shipping charges are non-refundable once an order has shipped.
Refunds will only apply if:
Your order is cancelled before dispatch (full refund, including duties and fees).
We’re at fault—for example, if your order is lost or packed incorrectly.
